Angel

2001 registered red dun Oklahoma-bred Quarter Horse mare by Dukes Diablo. Angel is our newest arrival and has yet to be evaluated. She is currently isolated from the herd but settling in well. She seems to have a great mind and has good ground manners.

My Pal Johnny

Johnny is a 2018 bay OTTB gelding. He is a timid but super sweet and funny boy who loves attention. Best suited for moderate work with soft, experienced rider. Going English and Western, doing trail work. For more information please contact us.

 

Impulse Purchase (aka "Major")

Big, bay 2009 OTTB gelding with H/J experience. Major is very well trained and has a lot to offer. He has had a hard-working career and needs maintenance. He does best with an experienced rider and professional stable management.

Gotta Slide

2008 OTTB gelding, pasture sound, for companion only home. He last raced in  2015 and has some wear and tear that makes him unrideable. Slide is very friendly and in-your-pocket. Looking for a forever home as a companion where he will be cared for and loved.

Honey Be Lonesome

Honey is a 2008 paint mare. She enjoys attention and is wonderful for ground-based therapy. She is well behaved for the vet and farrier and loads easily in the trailer. She has some medical needs.

Decorated

Update: Adopted

Elegant 2017 dapple gray OTTB gelding. Decorated is a Kentucky-bred TB by Declaration of War x Varisimo (Unbridled's Song). His last race was in October 2021. He was rested for several months before being put back in work. He is going quietly under saddle w/t and just starting canter. Deco is green but has a great mind!

 

Raven

17.1 hand black Percheron mare in her mid to late teens. Great on trails, in-your-pocket sweetheart.

 

Kalypso

UPDATE: ADOPTED

Beautiful black and white pinto mare looking for a forever home. She is 17 years old and no longer rideable due to a neck and back injury. She is pasture sound, sweet and friendly. She needs to live outdoors 24/7 with access to shelter.

Batilda

Big bay Standardbred mare used by the Amish for 20 years as a buggy horse and later used by the children to ride down to the pond and swim. Batilda is sweet and kind. She has a big knee due to years of pounding on the roads. We are looking for a loving, forever companion home for this beautiful girl. Batilda enjoys attention and pampering. Pacino

Darling aged Standardbred gelding. Pacino was raced for a few years and then became an Amish buggy horse. After many years of hard work, he is now ready for a quieter, low-key companion home. He appreciates treats and wants to be with people.

 

Freddie

UPDATE: ADOPTED 11/29/22

Freddie is a typey 4-year-old large pony gelding. He came from an auction in Ohio and then a dealer over the winter. This sweet youngster has settled in and learning to be a riding pony. With training, Freddie will make someone a very nice show pony and/or child's best friend. He goes out with a herd of geldings at night and is kept in a stall during the day. Freddie is barefoot and sound. More whoa than go! He loads well in the trailer and hauls quietly. Freddie is available for adoption.

 

Greenfield Cameo

Cameo is a 15-year-old black and white pinto registered American Miniature Horse. She measures 40 inches. She was trained to drive but it's been awhile. She is barefoot and sound.

 

Replicant

UPDATE: ADOPTED 

Big beautiful 2017 Florida-bred chestnut OTTB gelding by Super Saver, out of Return the Jewel. "Pumpkin" is currently in rehab following a racing injury 10/1/21.

TALISTER

UPDATE: ADOPTED 4/19/2022

Talisker is a 15-year-old Bay Quarter Horse-cross pony. He is approximately 14.2 hands with a sturdy build. He was ridden western by kids and is now in the rehab process. For more information about this beautiful gelding, please contact us.

Phoenix

UPDATE: Adopted 2/2022

Bay Standardbred gelding in his mid-teens. Phoenix was used as an Amish buggy horse for many years. He had an injury to his right hind leg when we rescued him from the slaughter pipeline. He is now out of quarantine and at our farm in Gaithersburg where we will be evaluating him.

 

 

 

Polo

 Polo was Grand Champion of the Mounted Division of EquiFest 2021

Polo was rescued from New Holland Auction. He is approximately 12 years old, 15 h, looks to be a TB cross. He is very brave and forward. This handsome boy is perfect for a soft, confident rider who likes more go than whoa.

Gloria

UPDATE: ADOPTED 8/2021

Sweet small Morgan cross mare estimated to be in her early teens. Gloria was saved from the killbuyers in an auction intervention with the help of another rescue. She was thin and had horrible lesions in her mouth due to foxtail. She has since gained weight and is learning to trust humans and even take treats. She is now easy to catch and ties well. She is in training under saddle. She is very level-headed and kind. She is available for adoption to an appropriate, forever home.

 

Shiloh

Shiloh is a sweet senior crossbred gelding. He's been ridden by kids on trails and goes English and Western. He is good for the vet and farrier, loads well in the trailer.

Beamer

UPDATE:  ADOPTED 12/2020

Beamer is a  2016 chestnut OTTB gelding. He is kind and in your pocket friendly. He is green so will need an experienced rider to bring him along.

 

Toosmartsweetheart

Toosmartsweetheart "Belle" is a 2002 chestnut OTTB mare. Standing at 16 hands, Belle has been trained English and Western. She is a sweet, beautiful girl. She is quiet and forgiving and has a lot of experience on the trail.  She has navicular changes and is suitable for light riding. She is easy to get along with and is a good companion to other horses.

Look Whos A Star

Look Whos A Star is a 2007 chestnut Thoroughbred by Pollard's Vision who was rescued from a kill pen February 20, 2019. She was in very poor condition when she came to Lifeline and had suffered a trauma to the head at the kill pen, which caused a concussion. "Star" was never raced; she was used strictly as a broodmare. She has made a lot of progress toward trusting people and improving her health and condition. Star is a beautiful, sweet mare who would love to be a companion and have someone to love on her. She is currently in foster in Pennsylvania and is available for adoption.

Soloman

UPDATE: ADOPTED

Soloman is a 17-year-old draft-cross gelding from Pennsylvania. He was Amish-owned and worked on a farm for most of his life pulling a plow and a buggy. He is green for riding but is very sweet and eager to please. He has trail experience and is currently being trained for ring work. This big boy has a puppy-dog personality and is bomb proof to boot.
